Gardening: Hibiscus are excellent flowering shrubs in tropical and mild – subtropical parts of the world, grown in shrubbery with other shrubs, different varieties in groups, as standard and in pots; some hardy varieties are also grown as hedge. In mild climate they flower throughout the year; very high or low temperature and also dry heat are unfavorable. In the winter months, the number and size of flowers are reduced. They grow and flower in a wide range of soil but well – drained loam of good depth, rich in organic matter is ideal. Water stagnation or soggy soil adversely affect the growth and flowering, often resulting in the death of the plants. China rose, in general, prefer full sun, partial shade for few hours
